Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc. (BGC) harbors a strong desire to operate in a forthright, responsible manner that preserves and protects human health, safety and the environment. To that end, BGC employees strictly adhere to all applicable state and federal government standards for protection of our employees, our communities and our precious environment in the event of exposure(s) to products which may be associated with any physical, reactive, fire, explosive or toxic risks.
The current benchmark for such protection standards within our operating region (the continental U.S.) is the Occupational Safety and Health Administrations (OSHA’s) Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Program. In accordance with this program, organizations such as BGC must make SDS’s available to all employees for potentially harmful substances handled in the workplace under the Hazard Communication regulation. SDS’s are also required to be made available to local fire departments and both local and state emergency planning officials under Section 311 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act.
In keeping with the above SDS requirements and BGC’s desire for transparency at all turns, SDS information is currently available for every reportable material at every location or facility under the BGC umbrella.
